There Are People In This World Who Are Here To Bring Happiness

I will say this out loud: there are people in this world who are here to bring happiness, and I am lucky to have some of them. They are those people who turn your world upside down, turn things around and laugh you to death; but it is also these people who reach out to you without hesitation, if that is what you need. In short, these people are the real friends.

These people who, no matter what, know what to do, what to say and where to be. These people you seem to have a magical connection with at the exact moment that takes you on surreal adventures that will always have a corner of your heart. They are the friends of the soul, those who teach and, above all, who mark.

They are your anchor point if everything else falls apart, just as they are your biggest smile when all is well. They are the ones who play the anger without complexes and outspoken when they think you’re wrong, but also the first ones who applaud you when you do something nice.

They are your cane and, at the same time, your wings

It’s these people who mark, but don’t hurt, because the signs that friendship leaves on the skin are as deep as scars, but as invisible and pleasurable as caresses. It’s those heartfelt hugs that make your skin crawl and leave you breathless when you need them.

These are the people who transform both your cane and your wings, because they are the first ones who encourage you to fly and the ones who will always be supportive if you decide to just walk. Because they are your compass, guide you in front of your fears and the light in your darkness. They are the ones who bring out the best part of you and help you fight any adversity.

These are party nights and coffee afternoons. It’s the most serious conversations along with the most heartfelt tears in the moments you wish you could forget. They are, in short, the people who helped you to be the way you are, to get the best of you and to achieve, in part, what you set out to do.

Because both the worst and the best moments in life are always best lived in company. These are the people you enjoy every second with when they’re around, who you live life with as if every minute is your last. They are the happiness of every day.

We count the people who bring happiness on the fingers of one hand

It’s the people you choose, and that’s why you choose them very well. They are counted on the fingers of one hand, but they are worth more than you might think. They are friends, soul friends and battle companions. And that’s why they are the ones who most deserve you to recognize their worth every time you can.

That’s why I’m writing these lines, so you can dedicate them to those people who are part of your life and make your world a better world, full of happiness. Because they support your falls and make you think you’re just a trip. They make you the hero of your own story because they give you the superpowers, the confidence, to be who you are.

These are the people you know are always there. That they communicate with you with just a look, since words are left over after everything they’ve lived through. It’s those “I love you” spoken without fear of rejection, because you know that friendship is the only love that doesn’t pull away despite your mistakes, it just grows stronger.
